  Nitrifying bacteria are very slow growing because of the manner in which they must obtain energy. Under optimal growth conditions, they will double in population every 15-24 hours.

For aerobic biological wastewater treatment systems

Nitro-Clear 750 Nitrifiers Industrial Concentrate provides the essential nitrifying bacteria specifically selected to bring about nitrification of ammonia nitrogen. Strains of Nitrobacter and Nitrosomonas, with superior talent for rapid nitrification under aerobic conditions, at a rate of 750 mg/L/hr.

These nitrifiers consume 7.2 ppm of alkalinity for each ppm of ammonia oxidized to nitrate. Under anaerobic conditions in the soil at the bottom of the lake/pond the Nitrosomonas will carry out denitrification, helping to complete the nitrogen cycle.

Provided that there is sufficient oxygen in the system, there is no danger of overdosing, even at 50 times normal dose.

Nitro-Clear 750 contains only Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter cells. Nitro-Clear 750 nitrifiers cannot be dried. Dry powder products consist of strains heterotrophic bacteria in their spore stage. Dry formulas cannot contain true nitrifiers, since true nitrifiers, unlike heterotrophs, are not spore forming and thus cannot be dried into powder products.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Nitrosomonas(ammonia-oxidizers) and Nitrobacter (nitrite-oxidizers), aerobic, gram-negative, chemolithic autotrophs for ammonia reduction.
